Your mind is the key to worlds of untapped potential to improve your life. It’s the greatest tool you have to make a significant impact in your life, and mostly the power of your subconscious mind just does what it wants! The key is to get this under your conscious control.
Let’s look at an example of subconscious mind power, where you want to change the channel on the television. Chances are good that you have been in a place where you just picked up the remote and flipped the channel without thinking twice about it. You didn’t need to worry about the particulars of the action because you were very used to it, you knew what to expect and the action has become subconscious.
Your subconscious mind creates reactions within you that make you do the things you do. When you consciously take action to complete a task or do something you want to get done, that was using the power of your subconscious mind. Imagine what you could achieve if you had the power to direct your subconscious mind to generate conscious actions within yourself that helped you fulfill all the things you dreamed.
Utilizing the full power, and properly training your subconscious mind can be the difference between letting your life control you and you controlling your life. While we’re told too often of the ‘dangers’ of the subconscious, it’s really a well of untapped potential to be used. It’s an example of negative expectations drawing negative results.
So we need to communicate with our subconscious mind to improve our lives. Many people feel that this is too complicated a task to undergo, but really it is simplicity itself by following a few simple steps. Just accept that Self improvement has to start with ‘thinking’ about it first.
The simplest way to unlock the potential of your unconscious mind is through affirmation. Affirmation can be as simple as saying ‘Yes We Can’. It’s just a reminder of the positive aspects around you and how to take advantage of them to get the desired result.
When you want to achieve a daunting goal that is looming in front of you, for example, you might find yourself overcome with a feeling of weariness and tiredness. This is something that is a natural stress response to something that you do not want to do. With the power of affirmation working behind you, though, you’ll find that you can actually beat this state of mind and look for a better way to approach the task at hand. This is something that can make a huge difference.
Affirmations are those mental reminders and assertions of the positive things you want to achieve and want to become. Learning to use affirmations to help you achieve the things you want in life can increase your motivation and your focus in a positive way.
Affirmations have also been used to help people change destructive habits like overeating and drinking or smoking. Double blind studies have shown that affirmations have a positive impact on people’s lives. It can change subconscious behaviors and improve your life.
Affirmations can come from outside as well; things like hypnotic therapy are just conduits to putting affirmations into your subconscious mind. It can be done by going to a hypnotherapist or listening to pre-recorded hypnosis audios.
You may also want to look into a brand new process know as binaural beats or brainwave synchronization, which will let you listen to special sound frequencies using headphones. Because the two sounds that you are hearing are different, it forces the two hemispheres of your brain to synchronize. This in turn will put you into a deep meditative state that lets your conscious self get in touch with your subconscious mind.
Complete mastery of your subconscious mind’s power takes years of training, as shown by highly trained Buddhist monks. They are able to display amazing abilities through mastering and controlling their subconscious power so that it manifests through their conscious minds. Things like levitation or breaking solid objects without pain or injury.
Understanding how you can create the life you dreamed of or the relationship you desire or even that ideal job you always wanted has been made a little easier through films and books like ‘The Secret’. Often called the Law of Attraction, this theory shows how learning to control the power within your own mind can manifest those things you want most.
Though this is something that sounds difficult to believe, the truth of the mater is that quantum physics are show us that we are living in worlds that are controlled by our own minds. So many of these supposedly supernatural phenomenon are created or controlled in scientific experiments using quantum physics.
There is more power in your subconscious mind than you know. Consider what you need to learn when you are thinking about working with it, whether you want to open up new doors or just give up an unfortunate habit.

Also known as lucid dreaming, conscious dreaming is the state of being aware and in control while you are dreaming. That is to say, you know that you are dreaming while you are in the middle of a dream! When you are conscious that you’re dreaming, you can control the events of your dreams.
The idea of being able to do anything you want in your dreams is amazing to think about, but anyone can learn to do it. It is not hard at all to do and offers an outlet for living out your fantasies and releasing your hidden desires. You can learn step-by-step proven ways to achieve the state of lucid dreaming.
First, you have to know what your goal is; are you looking to be able to get more enjoyment from your dreams or would you like to use this ability to help you improve your life in other areas? Whatever the reason, decide what it is that makes you want to discover conscious or lucid dreaming.
After you define the reasons for wanting to learn to dream consciously, you can learn the steps to get your mind on the right level. You need to be in the right state of mind to be able to lucid dream. A good place to start is recalling your dreams. This means to remember any dreams you have had.
To start conscious dreaming, you have to learn to recall the dreams you have. The way which seems to help most people with this is to keep a dream diary by your bed. When you awake, write down every detail you can remember from your dreams. Do this as soon as you wake; our dreams have a way of slipping away from us quickly.
You will soon find you are remembering your dreams more clearly and in more detail. You can use your journal to help you remember more. Once your mind is used to remembering your dreams you are ready for the next step and that is to be aware you are dreaming. You may wake up in a dream so to speak but still know it is not real and only a dream.
Other than keeping dream diary, many find hypnosis helpful. Hypnosis can help you to quickly reach the appropriate state for conscious dreaming. In fact, hypnosis can help you to recall every detail of your dreams in only a few sessions! Conscious dreaming is easy once this is accomplished.
You may wake up suddenly when you are having a conscious dream in the beginning. This is not unusual. Go over the events in your dream as you drift back to sleep. If you focus on them hard enough, you will go back into the same dream and perhaps control the events and the outcome of them.
Another method which many find useful for inducing conscious dreaming is to wake up a few hours earlier than normal. Simply set your alarm about two hours early and then go back to bed after awakening. In these last few hours before you are accustomed to waking up, it is much more common to have lucid dreams. These dreams can be hard to tell from simply laying awake and daydreaming! This is a good way to begin conscious dreaming.
Watch your sleeping patterns closely. In this way, you will be able to tell what time is more likely to have this type of dream. Do not deprive yourself of too much sleep, as being extremely tired makes you sleep deeper and lucid dreaming is unlikely to occur in this stage of sleep.
Those afflicted with insomnia and other sleep disorders may be pleased to hear that conscious dreaming can help them to get a better night’s sleep – it makes it easier to clear away the worries which can keep you from getting to sleep at night.
You may think that learning lucid dreaming takes years of practice, but in fact it’s not so hard at all to learn – with just a little practice, you can be a conscious dreamer too!
Anyone can have lucid dreams with a little practice. Using these techniques, you’ll find yourself in control of your dreams before you know it!
